We typically announce West Wahoo's on Monday mornings. However, nothing about the last few weeks is typical so here we are on a Tuesday and online. This West Wahoo goes out to 2nd Grader Maci! Maci is a great friend to another 2nd grader named Jack and Jack's mom passed this along to us.
According to Jack's Mom, Maci's kindness and love towards her son has changed his life. Erin (Jack's Mom) reports that "Jack's health has been really poor this past year. He was in the emergency room again last night and there's no end in sight for him right now. Even with all of this stress and trauma, Jack is thriving in school. I know with full certainty that Maci is a huge part of this. Her mother sent me the attached image today and I had to let you know the depth of her character. If this isn't what it means to be a Spartan, I don't know what is. I wish every kid had this heart, but I'm just so grateful that this kid found mine".
West Elementary is proud of you, Maci! The world needs your kindness and compassion. We can't wait to continue to see this friendship bloom!

Welcome back, Westies! A few reminders as we roll into 2022 and the best semester, yet!🥳
1. Drop off begins at 7:40. ⏰ After 8:00, your child is tardy and you MUST walk them into the office.
2. We go outside for recess more times than not! Be sure your child brings a coat/pants/warm gear. ⛄️
3. Kids get sick! 🤧😷🤢If your child is sick, please call the office so we can document.
4. Label, label, label 🖊all those new coats, water bottles, etc. We want to help these items find their way home.
5. No 🚫 transportation changes after 1:30! We want them to get home the right way and this helps us do that.
We can’t wait to see you on WEDNESDAY! ❤️💙
