Good afternoon and Happy Thursday! It was great to see all the smiling faces at our Meet-The-Teacher yesterday here at BMS. We are excited for the start of the school year and are looking forward to seeing all the students on Tuesday. As you prepare for this school year, please remember we have an updated cell phone policy that will be in effect on the first day of school. Bixby Middle School will prohibit the use of cell phones and other communication devices. Students may still carry phones in purses or backpacks, yet they must be off and out of sight at ALL times during the school day. This ban also includes smart watches, smart glasses, ear pods, headphones, and all other personal wireless devices. Students are encouraged to have a method of accessing their current school schedule that does not require the use of a cell phone so to avoid a violation of this new policy. All violations of this policy will result in the item being confiscated, available for the student to pick after school on 1st offenses and available for parent/guardian pickup on all subsequent offenses. If your student has not yet checked out a Chromebook, no worries. Our staff with work with the student to get that issued as quick as possible after we start on Tuesday. We hope to have everyone taken care of by Wednesday of next week. Also, some of our Fall sports are already competing. BMS Traffic adjustment for Friday 11/3. During the school day tomorrow, our Loop driveway will be closed to car traffic between the start of 1st hour and the end of 5th hour. It will be open for the morning Drop-Off process and will reopen after the start of 6th hour. The Loop Driveway will be open for normal traffic flow for our afternoon Pick-Up process. Good evening Bixby Middle School families! Our annual PTO fundraiser is up and running! Please consider donating to our *SQUARE UP SPARTANS* fundraiser (previously the write-a-check campaign). This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and donations go towards activities like staff hospitality meals, teacher appreciation, teacher grants, and more! All $150 donations will receive a special, limited edition soft and trendy Bixby t-shirt. All $300 donations will receive the t-shirt as well as a sweatshirt! BMS is excited to host our 2023-2024 Meet the teacher on campus August 15th from 2pm - 5pm. Students and families can meet our staff, teachers, and site administration during this come-and-go event. We look forward to seeing everyone.

All Sports Physicals Night will be held at Whitey Ford Gym on Thursday, May 4th from 5:30pm-7:00pm. The Caring Van will be also be on site for any Tdap immunizations needed.
