Last week, Mr. VanDolah's Music as Literature students had the chance to meet virtually with acclaimed author, music critic, and podcast host Steven Hyden. They chatted about Hyden's upcoming book, and geeked out over all things music! Thank you, Mr. Hyden for meeting with our students + thank you, Mr. VanDolah for organizing this incredible opportunity for our students!!


In celebration of Administrate Professionals Day 9GC admin sent our office gals to a long lunch, and held down the fort themselves!! Thank you for all you do, Ladies!! And thank you for the incredible example of leadership, Mr. Whiteley! #whatsupwednesday



Bixby sent delegates to the state Student Council Summit in OKC last Friday! They learned about leadership and activities to bring back to Bixby!!




Great things are brewing at the 9GC!!
Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 30th, a portion of Mr. VanDolah's Music as Literature students will have the unique opportunity to participate in an exciting virtual event with acclaimed author, music critic and podcast host Steven Hyden. Hyden currently writes for Uproxx.com as their Cultural Critic and serves as the co-host for their weekly indie rock podcast, Indiecast. He has written several books about music, including Long Road, This Isn't Happening, Hard to Handle, Twilight of the Gods and Your Favorite Band Is Killing Me. On May 28th, he will release his new book There Was Nothing You Could Do: Bruce Springsteen’s “Born In The U.S.A.” and the End of the Heartland. You may pre-order a copy at the link below.
