🎉🌟 Shoutout to our incredible 9GC English department ! 🌟🎉
Yesterday our 9GC students were given the opportunity to participate in resume building + mock interviews!
Your 9GC colleagues are absolutely blown away by the effort and dedication you've put into organizing and hosting mock interviews for our students. This is no small feat—it takes real commitment and passion to create these real-world experiences that will truly set our kids apart. Thank you for going above and beyond to make this happen!
To our amazing colleagues in the English department: You've once again shown why you're such invaluable mentors and educators. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed, and our students are so fortunate to have you guiding them through these crucial learning experiences.
Let's give a huge round of applause to everyone involved in making 9GC's interview day a success. A specific thank you to our volunteer interviewers!
Here's to more opportunities like this that shape our students' futures! 🌟👏

Ms. Goodsell (HS teacher) brought over some of her high school students from the Biomedical Sciences program to visit the 9th Grade Center and talk about their program with our 9th grade students and answer questions regarding enrollment. They brought phlebotomy arms, suture kits, vital signs (blood pressure, pulse oximeter, & stethoscopes), and dissection specimens of fetal pigs, cats, hearts, kidneys, and eyeballs. Students were able to interact with and experience these skills to see if they may be interested in signing up for BioMed as they transition to the high school next year.

🛠️ Today, we’re celebrating Maintenance Appreciation Day! 🎉
We at the 9GC want to give a HUGE thank you to our amazing maintenance team who work so hard behind the scenes to keep our building running smoothly. From early mornings to late nights, they make sure our classrooms, hallways, and common areas are safe, clean, and ready for learning every single day.
Your hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes do not go unnoticed. We appreciate you more than words can say!
Help us show them some love—drop a comment to say **THANK YOU** to the best maintenance crew around! 🙌

In one of the 9GC's most cherished lessons, Ms. Phenicie’s classes researched philanthropy organizations.
Student judges selected winners. Donors gave over $1000 to charity through this project! Congrats to our donation recipients! We are PROUD of y'all!!

Miss Lee's Oklahoma History classes had a blast celebrating Mardi Gras yesterday! They explored the history of cultural migration and how traditions like Mardi Gras travel! Of course, no Mardi Gras celebration is complete without King Cake! 💜💚💛 The students loved getting a taste of this sweet tradition while learning about the cultures that helped shape it. #whatsupwednesday

Let's hear it for Ms Tackel, our 9GC's February Teacher of the Month!
Here are some reasons her students nominated her...
*She explains things with an easy process and provides just as much information on complex things as well. Her teaching methods help me so essentially that I thank her from the bottom of my heart.
*Ms. Tackel deserves teacher of the month because she is the best teacher I have had this year. She is bubbly, she makes me want to understand and learn math, she always has a smile on her face, and she is a very good teacher when it comes to math. She never gives up on students when they are trying to learn something and she always tries to help and explain things well. She makes everyone feel so welcome and warm when you are in her classroom and she is overall an amazing teacher.
*She understand if we are having trouble we need to take a break or take it easy and she explains stuff very well.

Brayton (sophomore) and Kiefer (freshman) shared with the Outdoor Sports class about Lacrosse. They have been playing it for 5-6 years. Then the boys taught their classmates how to cradle, throw, and catch the ball. Tomorrow we plan to scrimmage. Thank you, fellow for sharing your passion! #whatsupwednesday
