Time 2:45-4:30 Tues. and Thurs.
Mrs. Phenicie’s Pre-AP English classes wrote similes to define theme and presented them in class. Many students chose interactive elements. Examples include: “Theme is like the icing on a doughnut because it brings the flavor to the story.”

Reviewing One Step Equations
Mr. McBride's class spent today reviewing how to solve one step equations by playing games! Today, we played One Step Equation BINGO, where students were given an equation and had to solve for the answer, and then find it on their BINGO cards.

Ms. Pierce graduated from UCO, earning a degree in History with an emphasis in research. She currently teaches Pre-AP Government, OK History at the 9GC and US History at the HS. She enjoys biking, fishing, and hiking, as well as, genealogy.

Welcome Ms. Jones!
Ms. Jones graduated from Claremore High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree from The University of Tulsa and her Master's in Library Science and Information Technology through NSU. Prior to joining us in Bixby this year, she has taught at BA and Coweta.
Mrs. Phenicie’s Pre-AP English classes concluded a mini-mythology research project with mythological speed dating. Students brought an image to showcase the trait/power of their researched gods/goddesses. Instead of presentations, they were able to engage with each character.
ROTC:
MC JROTC - There is no requirement to join any branch of service if you choose to be in MC JROTC, but if you do decide to join the military and have 2 years of JROTC you will rate an automatic promotion at the completion of Boot Camp; any service not just Marines.
PreMed Club

Parking permit enforcement will begin Sept 4th. Students may only park in approved lots in front of the campus. Permits cost $20.00 and you must have a drug test prior to purchase. Parking permits can be purchased in the Assistant Principal's Office at HS.
