The Bixby 9th Grade Center hosted the upcoming class of 2026 for freshmen orientation day! Students learned tips for success from a student panel, reviewed class options, took a tour of the campus, and concluded with a pep rally! It was truly a great day to be a Spartan!!

As the freshman English classes prepare for the Romeo and Juliet unit, they enjoyed a presentation from Jo Jo Nichols, Shakespearean expert and former drama teacher. Students learned about play direction, Shakespearean language, and the history of the Globe theater.

Today our student council joined in the district transportation appreciation day by cheering on our bus drivers during student drop off. Students gave the drivers candy and cards to show their appreciation!

Today some English students were able to visit the Greenwood area to see firsthand the area they have been studying in English and history. Students engaged in a walking tour of the area and visited the Greenwood Rising museum.

Despite the unpredictable winds, 29 students practiced their trap skills on Sunday. Some even shot individual high scores including Casey C, Cole P, Chaney D, Julie J, Daniel K, and Jack P. Pro-Marksman ratings were achieved by Chaney D, Daniel K, and Jack P. Turner S achieved Sharpshooter rating! Special thanks to Ms. Osceola and all the parents who help keep score.
