Whats up at EI?! We are so excited to bring our "Best Buddies" program back this year! This morning we had an assembly with Essentials/Concepts teacher, Mrs. Click and the regional director of the program to learn all about it! Best Buddies fosters one-to-one friendships between our students with and without intellectual and development disabilities creating an inclusive culture for all! Yesterday was so much fun and we can't thank our PTO members and wonderful volunteers enough for all of their hard work in making this years color run such a success! We loved seeing our teachers running with their students, friends enjoying lunch together, parents cheering on the sidelines, and more! We are definitely in our "feels" reminiscing about what a great day it was! #fridayfeels

Next week is officially HOCO- A week filled with fun-themed dress-up days, and a little friendly competition! The grade who donates the most canned "hearty" soups will win an extra recess and an ice cream sundae party! Drop your donations off at the front office and help us re-stock the shelves at the BOC!

Every morning, Mr. Fritz, our Behavior Tech greets the students coming in from the bus loop by name and with a fist bump. Students will even patiently wait in line to make sure they get their turn before they start their day! We are so thankful for Mr. Frits and how much he helps, encourages, and inspires our students each day! #thankyouthursday

What's up with art? Well, If you happened to open the doors to the art room this week, you may smell something fresh, clean, and... IVORY! Mrs. Bartley and her students have been carving beautiful sculptures out of soap this week! Such a fun and creative idea! We can't wait to see their completed products! #whatsupwednesday

For those of us who love to plan ahead 😉- We have an exciting opportunity next week! We are celebrating Bixby's Homecoming! We have fun dress up days planned (Theme: Bixby Studios!) and a district wide food drive benefitting Bixby Outreach Center! They are asking EI to donate canned "hearty" soup.
