Important Notice

Parents:

We were notified this morning that construction will begin THIS WEDNESDAY at 9:00 am on the Posey Creek bridge on Harvard, between the entrance of the school and our trail. This will greatly impact traffic to and from the school. This project will take eight months to complete as they are widening the Posey Creek bridge. More than anything, we ask for grace, especially these first few days as we work out any kinks. Traffic, especially after school, will be frustrating, especially as we are establishing these new procedures.

In an effort to keep the flow of traffic going, we ask that you do the following:

  • Intermediate parents will enter and exit the campus from Harvard Avenue through the main entrance.
  • We suggest that you come from Lewis to the light at 151st and Harvard, then turn left onto Harvard from the light.
  • Be prepared for lines at the light at Harvard.
  • Parents will exit the campus through the main entrance as well.
  • Parents will not be able to exit onto 151st from the south side of the campus. The main entrance on Harvard is the designated entrance for Intermediate parents and drop off/pick up traffic.

Students will still have access to the walking trail but we will not have a crossing guard because there will not be two way traffic on Harvard. We will have adult supervision on the trail, however, so students can walk to and from school by way of the trail as usual.

If you have any questions regarding this procedure please feel free to contact Mrs. Shaw at bshaw@bixbyps.org or call our office at 918-366-1763. It's important that everyone follow the outlined procedures so that we keep our campus safe. Thank you for your help!
