Dear West Intermediate Parents:
As you know, all of our kiddos will return in person. In an effort to alleviate some of the traffic issues with afternoon pick up, we are going to make some slight changes. Please read these updates in their entirety. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we work through these changes in order to make release time as safe and efficient as possible!
Just as a reminder, our drop off and pick up procedures for car riders are available in a video found at this link: CAR LINE. Please make sure you follow the signage to enter into the Intermediate Drop Off/Pick Up loop.
Families whose YOUNGEST OR ONLY child is a 3rd grader: you will now drop off and pick up on the INTERMEDIATE side to help relieve congestion. Please email the classroom teacher of your third grader to let her know that you will be picking up on the Intermediate side. Teachers WILL NOT send students over in the afternoon for pick up unless you have emailed them to let them know. Those same families will drop students off in the morning on the Intermediate side as well. Those third graders coming to the Intermediate side will sit with their siblings and will NOT need their car line number. We will call students names to load. In order to help with efficiency, PLEASE make sure you have your children’s FIRST and LAST names written boldly on a white sheet of paper and post it or hold it up where it can be seen on the passenger side of your car.
We truly appreciate your patience as we work out any kinks. Just remember - we are ALL new, so we must work together by following these procedures. Safety is our top priority! If you have any questions or problems, please contact Mrs. Shaw or Mrs. Timmons.
