Our Color Run is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24th (rain date May 8th)! This event is for every student and is SO much fun! We will have the Color Run on the trail, the fire truck will be out to spray students, there will snacks and popsicles for sale ($1 each), students can purchase individual color packs to throw for $3 each, and there may even be a FOAM PARTY! Here's what you need to know:
The Color Run Schedule is:
1:10-1:25 6th grade does the Color Run and then moves to the other activities
1:30-1:45 5th grade does the Color Run and then moves to other activities
1:50-2:05 4th grade does the Color Run and the moves to other activities
This is important to know because if you volunteer that day (AND WE NEED YOU TO VOLUNTEER) then you may sign up for a time that isn't when your kid runs the Color Run so you can watch them participate. Please sign up to volunteer at this link!
What your student needs the day of the Color Run:
Change of clothes
Towel
Money for snacks and if they want to buy powder
Old shoes
The Color Run is also our last school fundraiser for the year! We have a big goal to raise $20k! Eek! We plan to use the funds to both send several of our teachers to an incredible professional development opportunity this year and to replenish our activity fund which pays for field trips and consumables in the classroom that enrich group and lab activities. We have some exciting rewards to get us to our goal!
Prizes:
Every student that raises at least $35 dollars gets a drawstring bag, sunglasses and a Color Run t-shirt. Students must raise $35 by April 12th to get a t-shirt. They can keep raising after the 12th to get the other prizes.
The first 100 to get to $35 also get a Color Run cup and a ticket into a drawing to win one of the three items: karaoke machine, mega speaker, Bluetooth speaker
If the school raises:
$5k - Free Day Friday
$10k - Foam Party at the Color Run
$15k - Survivor Day on May 15th (Like a super charged Field Day!)
$20k - Slime admin and teachers!!
