Dear BNI Parents and Students,
I hope you enjoyed your last weekend before we start back to school madness! It was a pleasure to see so many faces at our Meet the Teacher on Friday. The building was full of JOY and excitement, it was truly special to see! If you stopped by and snapped a picture of your kiddo at the “Best Year Ever” backdrop, would you submit your picture here? We would love to showcase their pictures on our TV screens that are located around the building! As we gear up for tomorrow, please review the information below:
If you did not attend Meet the Teacher, please stop by the front office TODAY (Monday, August 15) until 3:00. You will need to pick up your child’s folder which includes their schedule and their security tags. All students must have their backpack tag attached!
Please make note that the school hours have changed for this year! New school day hours will be:
School Hours: 7:50-2:55 (Monday-Thursday)
Early Release Fridays: 7:50–1:55 (beginning August 26)
Doors open each morning at 7:30. Students are welcome to walk to the cafeteria for breakfast.
For the first day of school, you are welcome to walk your child into school! In order to expedite the process, please have your security tag ready to show as you enter the building so you do not have to sign into SchoolSafeID.
THERE ARE NO FREE MEALS THIS YEAR! Please make sure to load money on to your child’s lunch account before the first day of school. You may put money on your child’s account by check, cash at school or by credit card, debit card or by bank draft at www.myschoolbucks.com. You will need to know your child’s six digit ID number.
Make sure your child knows how they are getting home on the first day of school! If you need information on transportation details, please visit the Transportation page on the Bixby Public Schools website.
Car Rider pick up and drop off information is also found on the Bixby Public Schools website, under North Intermediate’s menu. Maps outlining pick up and drop off procedures will be provided at meet the teacher. Maps and a tutorial video are also available on our school website.
As always, please reach out if you have any questions! I am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for our FIRST DAY!
See ya soon,
Libby VanDolah
Principal
