Hello BNI Families,
I am hopeful that you were able to read Mr. Miller’s update in regards to the change in Meet the Teacher, visitors in the building, and the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. If you have not, please take a moment to read it here.
With these changes, comes a few additional items of note:
School Supply Drop Off/Transportation Tag Pick Up/Medication Drop Off:
In order to make things run as smoothly as possible on the first day of school, we will have two opportunities for school supply drop off, medication drop off, and transportation tag pick up. Information regarding supply drop off and transportation tag pick up can be found here.
Drop Off times are:
Thursday, August 12th from 7:30-9:30 AM
Friday, August 13th from 1-3 PM
ALL STUDENTS MUST PICK UP THEIR TRANSPORTATION TAG PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. All student numbers have changed this year as the North Campuses have begun using SchoolSafeID. Last year’s car tag will NOT allow you to pick up your child on the first day of school.
School supplies should be in a bag with the child’s FIRST and LAST name.
Please stay in your car and pull through the front car loop.
Bus Changes:
The district announced this week that it has purchased a new program called Ride 360. You can read more about it here.
Even if your child has been a bus rider in previous years, please make sure you double check their route info AS MANY ROUTES HAVE CHANGED THIS YEAR.
Virtual Meet the Teacher:
On Thursday, August 12th at 3:30 PM, you will receive an email from each of your children's teachers. This email will have all of the Meet the Teacher information for that classroom teacher.
If you do not receive an email by 5:00 PM on August 12th, please contact the front office (918-366-2671) on Friday, August 13th. They will assist you on this issue.
Building Walkthrough:
On Thursday, August 12th we will be opening our building doors from 4-6 PM for families to walk the building.
Teachers and staff will NOT be present.
You will not have access to classrooms. However, we hope that you are able to walk the building with your child and get excited about the upcoming school year!
Please do not bring school supplies at this time. There will not be staff in attendance to manage this.
First Day of School:
On the first day of school, parents will not be able to walk their children into the building. Staff will be outside and inside the building helping students locate their classroom!
I know we have made many pivots this year already and I appreciate your help and patience! More Information will be coming in the days ahead. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have further questions. Thank you so much! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
Thank you,
Libby VanDolah
