In Mr. Schultz's 6th Grade  Social Studies class, the students are using a premade template to create a board game that is based on the theme of “Central America and the Caribbean”.  There are “draw” cards that include vocabulary words, game tiles that have facts about the region, historical figures from the region incorporated in the game play, as well as the standard lose a turn, move ahead 4 spaces, and roll again.   Once the assignment is completed, the students then have a chance to play each other's games and enjoy each other’s creativity.   Thank you, Mr. Schultz for blending technology and Social Studies in such a fun and engaging way!
