Hello Parents,
What an amazing first day back! I hope your child came home with smiles and lots of stories about the fun things they did today! The day flew by and our kids were enjoying making new friends and memories! The hallways were full of joy and lots of laughter. If you snapped any pics outside at the yard sign or inside at the “In My BNI Era” photo backdrop, please share them here. We will add them to our TV screens in the office and cafeteria. The students love to see their faces on the BIG SCREEN!
With every new year, we have to review a few procedures to ensure that things go smoothly.
All children should have received a yellow backpack tag that was included on the sheet with your parent hang tags. Please put those tags on your child's backpack. If you need a ziptie, please come to the front office.
As we begin the new year, I did want to remind parents that morning drop off and afternoon pick up are often very busy the first week of school. It is our top priority to keep our kids safe. If you would please remember:
Do not speed through the parking lot!
All traffic should enter the elementary school! Do not use the intermediate entrance and cut in line! This slows the process down.
If your child has entered and exited the car, please DO NOT pull around the car in front of you. Students enter and exit the car on BOTH sides. If you are pulling around the car in front, this poses a great risk for students getting into or out of the car.
At the end of the day, all students will be dismissed through the car line or bus. We do not do office pick up!
If picking up students at the end of the day, PLEASE have your car rider tag (yellow hang tag) visible for the staff member on duty. This process is very fast once we get everyone in the routine of things so please be patient with new families and staff members as we navigate the first few days.
If you are still confused on the car rider line, please visit here.
Additionally, tomorrow is NOT an early release Friday! Thank you all for your patience and support to make BNI the best school! Please let me know if you need anything at all!
