It's #whatsupwednesday and this week was the most loved Parent PE in Coach Sully's gym classes! Coach Sully teaches that fitness and exercise can be fun with the correct methods. 2nd and 3rd grade parents got to come participate in proper stretching and games! Thank you Coach Sully for the family engagement opportunity!
Recently, our kindergarten students got to have a career day at school! They were able to have special visitors come to the classes to talk about their careers and then able to dress up as a career they would love to have! Thank you teachers and parents for inspiring young minds!

Our amazing 3rd grade teachers and students came together to do a service project for families who lost their homes and belongings in Asheville, NC due to hurricane Helene. The weather has turned cold quickly and many families are unable to stay warm or get what they need from stores. The students took this project to the heart and were able to provide winter clothes, band-aids, and personal hygiene for many families.

Attention 2nd Grade Parents!
Don’t miss the chance for your child to get a RARE Tulsa City-County Library card! Each year, TCCL selects an author and features them in their Books to Treasure program. Each 2nd grade student in Tulsa county receives a free book by the author, and has the chance to apply for a special edition library card and to meet the author. This year's featured author is Sophie Blackall, creator of Ivy and Bean and If You Come to Earth. Sophie will be in Tulsa on November 8th for a free event at Hardesty Library, where you can hear her speak, meet her, and get your book signed!
Applications for this special card should be sent home this week and are due by November 4th. Even students that already have a regular library card can apply! Please return applications to your child’s teacher, and Mrs. Tusia will distribute the cards once they arrive.

Last year, Mrs. Long started a project with the students and staff and it has official came to life! As you enter the office to North Elementary, you will get to enjoy the masterpiece that she has put together for us all!
Parents of 3rd graders, if you are interested in donating your child's costume from the Pleasant Valley field trip, we would love to have them for future students. You can give them to your child's teacher or drop them in the office. Thanks so much!
