Mrs. Williams 3rd grade class and Mrs. Dibiase's 1st grade buddy classes got together today to kick off Start with Hello week! They introduced themselves and learned 3 things about their buddy!

Mrs Wright and Mrs. Nichols hosted a special lunch for our new BNE 1st-3rd grade students! They were able to meet all the other new students and hang out with our amazing counselors!

Next week BPS is participating in Start With Hello , an initiative that is part of the Sandy Hook Promise. The premise is to connect students, parents, teachers, and community leaders for kinder and safer schools.
Look at some of or 3rd grade superheroes! We are so thankful to have them helping our pre-k and kindergarten students walk and arrive safety to their classes in the mornings!

Today in library with Mrs. Tusia, first grade had fun learning about book care while investigating some damaged books and determining what their cause of destruction was.

Nurse Wiley takes care of NE! Aside from the golden ice packs and band-aids...She treats a wide range of health issues in students, including minor injuries, illnesses, chronic conditions, conducts health screenings, and provides health education.

Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Edens, and Mrs. Robles are making a difference at NE! School EL teachers specialize in teaching English to non-native speakers, helping them develop language skills to succeed academically and socially in English-speaking environments.

Do you have questions or wish to have a better understanding of school funding and finance? Have you ever wondered…how does the purchase of that new scoreboard or other athletic upgrade affect teacher pay? Why do we need another bond issue and will it impact my property taxes? How is our state aid determined? How can I help advocate for smaller class sizes? How would vouchers impact our school district's financial status?
Join us for a series of panel sessions, open to our entire community, to learn the basics of Oklahoma school finance and understand how decisions at the Capitol impact our classrooms in BPS. This is also an opportunity to engage with local legislators on these important topics.
