A message from Mr. Walden including updated information on the BMS fundraiser for this year;
Good evening parents, I wanted to update you on 2 quick things.
1. Fundraiser: after working with administration and our cookie dough representative and exploring every possible option, we are pushing the delivery back to when we start back to school in the fall. Our salesman has informed me that the cookie dough is ordered and delivered to him and currently sits in one of their large freezers in Fort Smith. He assures me it can stay frozen for 1 year. Since the kids did a post collect we will just have them collect monies owed at the time of delivery. There really is no good solution to this situation, but with all of the logistics of trying to coordinate this through a social distancing atmosphere with lots of unknowns we felt like this was the best solution to make everyone as comfortable as possible. On the chance that some of the kids already turned in money and need a refund, we will have to address this when the central offices are back up and running normally. Hopefully any of your customers in this situation understand and can have some patience with us. Sorry for the trouble, but I think this is really the only way to handle this cookie dough at this point.
2. If your child had a school owned instrument they were using, just have them keep it and we will get them checked in and get them a better one once school gets started back.
Thanks everyone for a great year, and one I'm sure we will not soon forget for many reasons!
