We celebrated our Students of the Month this morning. Congratulations to Kenzie, Emanuel, Mia, Erick, Elijah, and Faye! They were nominated for demonstrating the Life Principle of Courage.
Our Student Council is hosting a Bedlam Food Drive, benefiting the Bixby Outreach Center and Horizon Animal Hospital. Items will be collected from 11/7-11/18, so there's still time to donate! Parents can bring items to the office or students can bring them to school, and they'll be placed with the OSU or OU pile. The team that wins will get to "decorate" Mr. Boren or Mrs. Guthrie with any expired food items! Go Pokes! Boomer Sooner!
Spartans, don't forget, the district is offering a Cyber Safety workshop for ALL families on Monday, 11/7! If your child spends time on electronic devices of any kind, this event is for you!

Good afternoon, CI families! I want to send out the information for ColorFest. Here's what you need to know:
ColorFest is this Friday, 9/23
Here's the schedule:
* 4th Grade: 11:15-12:15
* 5th Grade: 10:00-11:00
* 6th Grade: 12:30-1:30
Parents are welcome to join us! Bring your driver's license or photo ID to the office to check in. You'll get a visitor's badge, and you'll be ready to join the fun!
We will start with a short ColorRun, followed by some free time with inflatables, face painting, sidewalk chalk, popsicles, music, concessions, and more!
We will sell concessions, so students may want to bring money. All items will be $1. We'll have the usual stuff, like popcorn, pickles, candy, chips, drinks, etc. You know, all the healthy food kids love :)
We're looking forward to a great day of color and fun! Thank you so much for supporting OUR school. It's a great day to be a Spartan!

CI families, you do not need to register your transportation tags for your kids. We have already taken care of that. You just need to have them hanging in your car when school starts. Thanks!
Lynn Purdie will be teaching Title 1 Math this year. She is a fantastic support to our students and staff, and we're thankful she's a part of our team!

Jamie Guthrie will be serving as our full-time Assistant Principal this year. This will be Mrs. Guthrie's third year as assistant principal and her sixth year working for Bixby!
And now, the moment we've all been waiting for... it's time to introduce our fearless leader! This will be Mr. Boren's third year as the Central Intermediate principal. We're so thankful for his leadership and service to our school community!
