Thank you so much for wearing blue for World Diabetes Day. There are millions of citizens in the United States who are diagnosed with diabetes. Most people are familiar with type two diabetes, which is caused by weight but it still is life threatening. Type two diabetics still produce insulin, but not enough for their body to function properly. The other type is type one diabetes. Three of your fellow classmates Trey, Camryn, and Kali are Type one, which is an autoimmune disease with no cure because there pancreas can not make any insulin at all. Thank you again for wearing blue. You made these three student feel like they can fight through this and made them feel more hopeful for a cure.
