Dear BPS Community:
As we enter this week of Thanksgiving, I wanted to send each of you a sincere word of thanks and my warmest wishes for a happy and safe holiday celebration with your loved ones.
The upcoming holiday season is an opportunity to pause and reflect on what we are thankful for in our lives. Personally, I am thankful for my family and friends; our talented, creative and passionate teachers; our dedicated and caring support staff and school leaders; our amazing parents and families, and the entire Bixby community for your continuing support and encouragement.
We are a student-centered school community and, with that in mind, I would also like to encourage all of us - parents, grandparents, family friends, and educators - to celebrate the students in our lives this Thanksgiving season. The changes and adversity we all experienced these past few years have been especially hard on our children and youth. So, no matter what your holiday celebrations look like this season, please take time to acknowledge and encourage the children in your family. They are the fabric that binds us together in the collective mission to develop strong, knowledgeable, creative, and caring citizens to lead our nation and community into the future.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
