Spartans, it’s a Big day with a capital “B!”
Our beloved “B” is making its way to storage as we begin construction on a new state-of-the-art Bixby High School, slated to open in 2024!
“B” on the lookout for this long-time BHS landmark to make its reappearance at a new home as the district plans for future projects.
Additionally, we need you to “B” aware of some additional information relative to construction across the high school campus.
The two main BHS entrances will be inaccessible very soon, please refer to the map below. The red areas will be closed. The green arrows indicate how to access the High School campus via:
9th Grade Center Bus Loop
9th Grade Center Entrance just north of Home of the Spartans
Entrance off of Mingo, head past the practice fields and bus barn and into the HS parking areas
The district will provide much more detailed information prior to the start of school relative to how traffic and parking will be managed upon the return of students.
Additional bond updates:
Spartan Stadium seating upgrades will add approximately 700 additional seats and should be accomplished later this summer.
Painting and general building improvements are ongoing across all campuses this summer.
The bidding process for the West Campus expansion has been completed. Work on these new elementary and intermediate classrooms will continue through the upcoming school year to be completed by August 2023.
