Congratulations to Bixby Public School's March Educator of the Month, Melody Lavender from West Elementary. Mrs. Lavender has worked in special education for many years. Aside from the challenges of COVID, distance learning, and being in a brand new building. West also opened a second special education classroom this year. Due to the new room and a brand new teacher, Ms. Lavender had to basically help run both rooms solo. She has been a total rockstar and helped so many children and staff members this year. Upon being called on to help time and time again, she never hesitated to step up to the plate for all students and staff members alike! West is providing for their special education students as successfully as possible because Mrs. Lavender loves her job and loves the people all so deeply!
