weather

Spartans,

I am sure you are following the various forecasts for this weekend. In addition to more cold weather, there is a moderate chance that some of the rain predicted for Monday may come early (overnight Sunday) while temperatures are below 32 degrees, resulting in possibly hazardous road conditions.

If we are forced to close school on Monday, we will be pivoting to distance learning for the day. Since we are still just in January, it is important for us to preserve some weather days for later. In preparation, we will be distributing devices today to PK-6 grade students who have completed Chromebook paperwork. Students in grades 7-12 will be reminded to bring their device and charger home.

We hope to make a call relative to the status of school as early as possible which will likely be Sunday evening or early Monday morning.

Principals and teachers will be prepared to follow up with details for distance learning should the district need to close schools on Monday.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,

Supt. Miller
