Bixby Northeast Intermediate and Bixby North Intermediate Honor Choirs swept the awards at Heartland Music Festival this past weekend. The NEEI 65-voice auditioned choir competed on Saturday at Edmond Santa Fe High School singing “Remember Me” from Coco and “One Foot” by the pop group Walk the Moon.
The choirs were awarded sweepstakes awards for their top scores from the judges. Later in the day, after a fun afternoon at Frontier City amusement park, they tied as the Grand Champion Judges Choice winners from all the elementary choirs, bands and orchestras competing. Tying with Northeast was the Bixby North Intermediate Honor Choir.
