Bixby High School FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT is located at 601 S. Riverview in the southeast area of the campus.

DEPARTMENT INFO

ART is offered to students of Bixby Public Schools in grades one through twelve. Certified teachers have their own classroom where students are taught using the Oklahoma P.A.S.S. directives as a guideline for the subject. INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC is offered to students grades six through twelve. The beginning band begins in the sixth grade. Students may continue instrumental instruction in the 7th grade and 8th grade band. The PRIDE OF BIXBY Senior High Band is an award-winning band that consists of grades nine through twelve and competes at OSSAA events and national contests. VOCAL MUSIC is offered at all grade levels at Bixby Public Schools. General Music is offered to all students in grades one through five. At grade six, students may elect to take general music or beginning band. Vocal Music at the middle school is an elective. The Bixby Middle School and High School Choirs are award-winning choirs that compete at the OSSAA state level and national competitions/festivals. DRAMA and SPEECH are OSSAA competitive courses offered at Bixby High School under the direction of Ms. Betty Fisher. In addition to award-winning plays, the BHS Debate Team is highly competitive. Individual websites can be found by going to Teacher/Staff websites at the individual schools.
