Testing for Gifted Services

If you are new to Bixby Public Schools and wish to have your child evaluated for Gifted & Talented Services, please contact the counselor or gifted coordinator for your child's site.

Scheduled Testing

All 3rd grade students will be tested on Thursday, August 19th unless parents opt out of the testing process.

4th, 5th, & 6th grade students have the opportunity to test during the first weeks of the school year.  If you don't receive a permission slip and are interested in testing contact the gifted coordinator as soon as possible.  Parents must give written permission for their child to be tested.

Any new student to the district also has the opportunity to be evaluated at the beginning of the school year.

The Bixby School District is committed to the quality education of all students and recognizes the need to provide an enriched educational program for its gifted and talented students.

Bixby Public School's mission is to provide educational excellence for all members of our school community.  Our goal is to provide quality, research based curriculum and instruction that prepare all students for the future in a technology based society.  Bixby Public School's gifted program constantly seeks innovative ways to engage gifted students in education by establishing venues for students to develop research and problem solving skills, create products, serve others and showcase accomplishments.  Every attempt is made to insure that students do not have to "wait to learn".
