All German students are expected and encouraged to participate in our state contest.  German is the only language that has anything of this nature going on in the state of Oklahoma.  There are a variety of options and generaly students are required to complete a particular number of categories depending on their level in German.  f you are a German student AND you are in band or choir, please consider choosing a solo & ensemble piece that was composed by a German-speaker as you can perform the same piece for German State Contest as well as State Solo & Ensemble for your Band or Choir competition.  If you need help selecting music that fits the criteria, just ask and I can help YOU!  Yes, Contest is a required part of German courses, if you feel unable to participate, there are alternate (UGH) assignments.
