Bixby is located in southeast Tulsa County in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley.  It is one of the fastest growing cities in the Tulsa area with a population of just under 16,000.  Bixby's close proximity to Tulsa plus its small, rural atmosphere, make it extremely attractive to newcomers.

The Bixby School District serves nearly 4,400 students within the 70 square miles of school boundaries.

The schools are organized into four separate grade groupings.  In this structure, students in grades kindergarten through fourth grade attend Central Elementary and Bixby North Elementary.   Both elementary sites also offer a four year old program.   Beginning in the fall of 2008, f ifth and sixth grade students will attend Brassfield and North 5 ^th & 6 ^th Grade Center s .  For the 2007-2008 school year, North will serve fifth grade students only.  Middle School serves grades seven and eight.  Bixby High School includes grades nine, ten, eleven and twelve.  All schools are fully accredited by the State of Oklahoma. Bixby High School is also accredited by the North Central Association. 

As required by No Child Left Behind legislation, reports on individual schools are part of the annual district report cards, also known as local report cards. Each school district must prepare and disseminate annual local report cards that include information on how students in the district and in each school performed on state assessments. The report cards must state student performance in terms of three levels: basic, proficient and advanced. Achievement data must be disaggregated, or broken out, by student subgroups according to: race, ethnicity, gender, English language proficiency, migrant status, disability status and low-income status. The report cards must also tell which schools have been identified as needing improvement, corrective action or restructuring.
