Common Core Standards and Assessments

The State of Oklahoma and Bixby Public Schools are making the transition to Common Core Standards.  Common Core standards in Literacy and Mathematics were adopted by the State of Oklahoma in June 2010.  Common Core Standards were adopted by the State of Oklahoma to provide students the knowledge and skills needed for college and careers.  Full implementation to Common Core Standards by the State of Oklahoma will take place by June 2014.  In order to meet this timeline and best prepare our staff and students, Bixby Public Schools has begun implementation according to the timeline below.
