Please make yourself familiar with our school wide discipline program. It promotes the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. Students are expected to behave as a leader at all times. If a student is not using self control, following instructions, etc, there will be a consequence. This may include any of the following:loss of a privelage, parental contact, infraction tickets, and/or visiting with the prinicpal.

We have a "Thinking Spot" in our classroom. The Thinking Spot can be used by students, who self direct or are teacher guided, to that area. A student may choose to go there if he/she is feeling sad, wants time alone, needs time to think about feelings, procedures, etc. or needs to regain self control. A basket of books, stuffed animals and puzzles will be available for students to use during their time in the Thinking Spot. Students will use a sand timer (3 minutes) to give them enough time to use the Thinking Spot appropriately without missing instruction, enrichment or important socializing time with our class.
