If YOU haven't heard or didn't know, German Club in Bixby is a BIG deal! 

In September we will be showing Thor auf Deutsch with English subtitles at Starworld 20.  In October, Bixby students will volunteer to work at Oktoberfest for the German American Society.  German Club will visit the Amish Farm in Chouteau for dinners and to recruit 8th graders at the November dinner.  German Christmas means the annual Christkindlmarkt and Adventsfeier service at the German American Society.  There will be ice-skating at the BOK and Christmas lights at Rhema Park.  Students will prepare for the national AATG test in January followed by a Siegi's lunch.  Bixby students will participate in the annual White Rose Essay Contest through the Jewish Federation of Tulsa, as well as the German American Society Essay Contest, both of which Bixby German students consistently are awarded cash prizes for their writing.  Feel like dressing up?  German Club will take part in a costumed Faschingsparty at GAST for mardi gras in February.  The Oklahoma State German Competition will be on March 7, 2013.  On April 2, Bixby will compete at TCC’s Frühlingsfest German Competition.  Bowling, Laserquest, Rockclimbing and Paint-balling are all on the calendar.  German Club has already challenged Spanish Club and French Club to a Laserquest Triplequest scheduled for March 25, 2013! The German program at Bixby High School will also induct new members into the National German Honor Society called Delta Epsilon Phi in January; BHS is the Oklahoma Chi chapter. To celebrate the fabulous year in the making, we have scheduled an end-of-the-year party at GAST's Germanfest with German food and games sponsored by the German American Society of Tulsa!
