DANCE TRYOUT GUIDELINES:
*The prospective dancer must be passing all classes for at least one month before the tryout date.
*The prospective dancer must be physically present at the tryout on the designated tryout date in order to tryout for dance.
*No student may tryout through video recording or any other method other than physically participating in the tryout at the designated tryout location, time, and date.
*It is mandatory for students to tryout every year regardless of whether they have been on the squad in a previous year.
*If exceptions are to be made to the tryout process a review panel will be assembled and will consider whether or not to approve or not to approve an exception and allow for a separate tryout date and time. Exceptions are limited to emergencies only. Emergencies may include but are not limited to a death in the immediate family or some other circumstance that would physically prohibit the student from being at tryouts. For example, a verified car accident or medical emergency medical emergency may qualify for an exception. Events for which exceptions will not be made include but are not limited to conflicts with other school events, birthdays and parties, weddings, camps, and work schedules.
*If you believe an exception to the tryout schedule is needed, it is the responsibility of the prospective dancer and/or his/her parent/guardian to notify the dance coach as soon as possible upon having knowledge of the potential need of the exception.
* Dancers MUST come in work out attire. No Jeans!!! Preferably form fitted clothing. EX: Jazz pants or bloomers with tights with a form fitted top. Dancers MUST bring tennis shoes to clinic and jazz shoes if they have a pair. Please do not go and buy jazz shoes just for tryouts. If the dancer makes the team, we will order them as a team.
